About Our Guest Speaker
Dr. Andrea Deerheart
Dr. Andrea Deerheart is a devoted thanatologist, educator, and End-of-Life Doula with nearly four decades of experience supporting individuals and families at the threshold between life and death. Rooted in compassion, reverence, and presence, her work centers on restoring dignity, love, and meaning to the end-of-life journey. She is the founder of The HeartWay, a nonprofit dedicated to conscious dying, offering education, community support, and heart-centered care that blends spiritual insight, mythic wisdom, and practical tools to help people meet mortality with openness and grace.
A respected speaker and the host of Death Demystified, Andrea leads courageous conversations about death, legacy, and letting go, and has been featured by organizations such as The Shift Network, TerraCon, CIIS, and the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance. She is the author of several acclaimed books, including Yoga Nidra: Graceful Transitions, Elli’s Ride, and MyLife/MyDeath, as well as two foundational textbooks for end-of-life practitioners. Her life’s work is devoted to transforming our relationship with death, inviting us back to what matters most: love, connection, and the courage to live — and die — fully awake.
