Rev. Tiffany J. Barsotti, PhD Award
The Consciousness and Healing Initiative (CHI) is pleased to announce the selection of two Awardees for the first annual Rev. Tiffany J. Barsotti, Ph.D. Award: Advancing Scientist-Healer Research Collaborations in the Biofield Sciences.
Dr. Barsotti was a leading light and frontier researcher in the areas of subtle energy and biofield sciences. Her scientific publications included studies of biofield devices, biofield effects, and consciousness. Tiffany was a founding member of CHI, as well as a member of CHI’s Healing Practitioner Council.
The Award recognizes and supports individuals who are making significant contributions to advancing healer-informed biofield research. Nominations were open to young to mid-career professionals who demonstrate leadership, promise, and impact in the biofield sciences through healer-scientist partnerships and/or collaborations.
The 2025 Awardees are
Dr. Kiki Hocking and Ms. Rona Geffen.
About Our Awardees
Dr. Hocking
Dr. Hocking, who resides in Charlottesville, VA, is a transpersonal psychologist and Reiki biofield therapist with over two decades of experience exploring the intersection of consciousness, subtle energy, and transpersonal theory. She holds a PhD in Transpersonal Psychology, where her research focuses on biofield science, self-Reiki, and a novel centropic framework for healing. Kiki’s work integrates academic rigor with the respectful inclusion of ancient science, and extends through her teaching, writing, and healing practice to support sovereignty and coherence for her clients and readers. She is being given the award for her work on, Biologic Sovereignty: The Impact of Daily Self-Reiki on Stress Levels of University Students.
Ms. Geffen
Ms. Geffen, who resides in Athens Greece, is a researcher and practitioner of sound therapy, as well as a musician and patent holder of advanced sound applications for health. She has pioneered transdisciplinary research on Geometric Sound, a new class of spatial sound, and collaborates with leading scientists in the fields of neuroscience, physics, mathematics, and sound. She is being given the award for her work on, Geometric Sound: Harnessing Geometry and Sound Holography in Health – Applications & Implications.
Awardees Will Receive
Each Awardee will receive a $1,000 honorarium, a plaque recognizing the Award, and will present their work at a special live CHI Webinar on November 7th, 2025. Their respective lectures will be given in the context of a panel discussion with other biofield researchers and biofield practitioners.
