Through guided exercises in vocal expression, movement, and breathwork, combined with Eastern spiritual practices of mudra, mantra meditation, and devotional dance, you will learn how to:

  • Connect with the goddess and her many qualities to empower your spiritual development and unleash your soul’s vibratory purpose
  • Improvise more easily with words, sound, and movement
  • Explore elemental energies through the chakras, to integrate and transform places of disconnect into a sense of union
  • Invoke various forms of the tantric goddess through mantra, mudra, meditation, and other simple exercises to empower your healing and the healing of others

This workshop is open and applicable to all ages, abilities and gender!

Kirti Srivastava, MA

Kirti has been a dancer and performer for over 20 years trained in Classical Indian, West African, Afro Brazilian and Hip Hop dance styles. She has also served as an Educator, Instructional Coach, Associate Principal, Principal and now consultant with a mission and vision to use Arts Integration, Project Based Learning and Mindfulness to provide students and families a well rounded and holistic approach honoring the whole child in education. With her background in the arts and education, Kirti uses her own experiences as a student, teacher and leader to create learning experiences in which participants learn by doing.

Shamini Jain, Ph.D.

Shamini is a clinical psychologist, scientist, and social entrepreneur. She is the founder and CEO of the nonprofit Consciousness and Healing Initiative (CHI), a collaborative accelerator that forwards the science and practice of healing. She is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UC San Diego. Shamini combines her background in clinical psychology, psychoneuroimmunology, healing arts, and Jain spiritual wisdom to share with others how they can best heal themselves and live healthy, meaningful lives. She regularly teaches on the art and science of healing in diverse venues including NATO, TEDx, major universities, conferences, and hospitals. She also contributes as an author on these topics in online blogs including Huffington Post and the Times of India.
